Google for India event company has launched the new Oreo(Go edition) formally on Tuesday in Delhi.
This is not a new platform, this is the new lite version of Android operating system.
This is available in on selected smartphone as Pixel,Nexus.
Google play sameer samat and the Vice President of Google product management said" Android Oreo(Go edition) is being designed for work completely in entry level smartphone.
This operating system has made on three main parts,the first is developed core operating system to work on entry level device very easily,the Google has redesigned the application newly to work on entry level device easily that will complete local demands,three,together this three parts help ensure that apps open 15 percent faster than they would on "regular" Android.
GETTING READY TO GO
While realising Android Oreo(go edition),Samat also showcased a bunch of Google Apps that are redesigned for the new platform.
There is Google Go instead of the original Google app, as well as Chrome, Files Go, G-board, Google Assistant Go , and YouTube Go.These apps are designed to take 50 percent less storage space then their original variants.
The Google Go app. for instance. comes in less than 5MB of file size which is significantly lower that the flagship Google app that is over 62MB in size.
Android Go helps developers optimise the experience on low-end smartphones.
Samat said that Android Oreo(Go edition) is primarily targeted to enhance the experience on device that have 1GB (or less) RAM. "We see there are a lot of 1GB device that are being shipped today,not only in Indian but also in some other parts of the world.
